About the Journal

Da Pueo Press (DPP) is the University of Hawai‘i-West Oʻahu’s (UHWO) first undergraduate journal showcasing diverse and creative student work from our campus. The founders of DPP are a joint team of Humanities, Education, and Creative Media students, as well as the Humanities, Library, and No‘eau Center Faculty and Staff.

By publishing creative and research-based work in ‘Ōlelo Hawaiʻi, Hawaiʻi Creole English (HCE) or Pidgin, and English, our journal celebrates the efforts and accomplishments of our student population through open-access publications that reflect on our unique Pacific and global understanding rooted in Native Hawaiian values.
