Editorial Team

Da Pueo Press (DPP) is a journal for students by students. As such, our staff is composed of current undergraduates from the University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu (UHWO). We are dedicated to the work of creating a space that showcases academic excellence. Faculty editors and support staff play a crucial role as facilitators and advocates who assist student staff throughout the publishing process.

Faculty Editors

Dr. Yasmine Romero - Co-Editor in Chief: Dr. “Yaz” is an Associate Professor of English at UHWO and the Humanities Division Chair. She teaches courses in applied linguistics, rhetoric and composition, gender and sexuality studies, critical race theory, and critical pedagogy.
Dr. Michael Pak - Co-Managing Editor: Dr. Pak is an Assistant Professor of English at UHWO from Kāneʻohe, HI. His research interests include composition pedagogy, rhetoric, ethnic American literature, critical theory, and popular culture.
